Recipe for Four Cups
- Brown sugar
- Four pounds of peeled and then chopped yellow onions
- One stick of unsalted butter or half a cup of it (it should be cut in parts)
- Balsamic vinegar
- Ground pepper and Kosher salt
The onions should be put in the slow cooker with the butter over them. Seal the cooker. Start cooking them on low temperature for 8 hours. Make sure you stir them from time to time.
When the 8 hours pass, check the onions. Take a look at their consistency and their appearance. They need to be tender. You can then add the brown sugar, salt, balsamic vinegar and ground pepper.
