The 5 Best Detoxifying Salads – Should Notice The Change In A Week!

We’re surrounded by toxins which are everywhere around us. The poor quality of life and the unhealthy diet we all lead is surely taking a tool on our health and allowing toxins to accumulate in our body. Once they do, they can do a lot of damage from the inside and easily ruin our health. This is why our body needs a nice cleanse every now and then.

The main signs of accumulated toxins in our body are insomnia, dark circles under the eyes, brittle hair and nails, fluid retention and depression. Once you notice these symptoms, it’s time to turn on the alarm. Our body is a complex machine that can get broken if not maintained, which means we must keep it in perfect shape. A detox method will allow us to eliminate all the toxins and chemicals from our body. There are many ways to do it – some people like fasting as a detox method, while some claim juicing works better. However, today we’re going to present a simple detox method which will clean your body of toxins completely and is quite easy to perform.

The process involves consuming so-called detoxifying salads. They will help you lose weight, clean your body of toxins and improve your overall wellbeing. By cleaning your body of toxins and chemicals, the salad will boost your health and make your skin and hair shine like never before. The salads will also help you sleep better and boost your energy levels, while restoring the flora in your gut.

The salads are pretty easy to prepare and contain simple natural ingredients that are cheap and easily available. You can make a bigger portion of each of the salads and store them in the fridge for a few days, or just make enough for your whole family.

White and red salad

Ingredients
  • 1 onion
  • 1 lemon (squeezed)
  • 1 teaspoon parsley (chopped)
  • 2 beets
Preparation

Boil the beets and peel them, then chop them to tiny pieces and chop the onion as well. Mix both ingredients, then add the parsley, lemon juice and some salt and pepper if you like.  This salad will clean your liver and intestines, while preventing fluid retention and bloating.

Turmeric and lentil salad

Ingredients
  • 120 gr. lentils
  • 200 gr. kale
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 garlic clove
  • Olive oil, pepper and salt
Preparation

Boil the lentils in some water until they’re soft, then wash and peel the carrot and onion and chop them. Wash and peel the cabbage, then chop it in slices. Boil the slices in water and drain the mixture. Now, pour the olive oil in a pan and heat it up, then add the onion and carrot, then add the spices and garlic and cook for a couple of minutes more. Add the lentils and cabbage in the end, then cook everything for 5-7 minutes on low heat. Serve the delicious salad with a bit of olive oil. You can eat it hot or cold.

Grapefruit and fennel salad

Ingredients
  • 3 larger fennel bulbs
  • 2 grapefruits
  • A couple parsley sprigs
  • 4 tablespoons sunflower seeds
  • ½ a teaspoon anise seeds
  • 2 handfuls raisins
Preparation

Wash the fennel first and cut it on strips, then peel the grapefruit and remove all the white parts. Chop the parsley next, then put the seeds in a pan, toss everything together and serve. This vitamin C-rich salad will detoxify the liver and boost your energy levels. Furthermore, fennel has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and expectorant properties that will promote better elimination of toxins.

The salad is great on its own, but works better with the following sauce:

Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon almond puree
  • 1 lemon (squeezed)

Peel and chop the ginger and pear, then mix everything to get a nice sauce. Pour it over the salad and enjoy.

  • 2 celery stalks
  • 10 radishes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tangerine
  • Salt and pepper
