Being healthy is a priority for many people once the new year starts, but let’s face it – we rarely stay true to our promises and we rarely eat and live healthy, stuffing ourselves with junk food every time we can. We constantly eat foods we consider harmless which are doing a lot of harm to our health. Studies have shown that 3 foods in particular are to blame for weight loss and digestive problems, and some of them are already being banned in some European countries.
The 3 “killer” foods are wheat bread, low-fat yogurt and diet sodas. Many people will be shocked to find them on the list, but experts agree that all of them are harmful for our health. These “healthy” foods may be the reason why you’re unable to lose weight even if you stick to a regular exercise routine. They can also suck out the energy from your body, and are responsible for fatigue.
Here’s how each of them harms your health:
Low-fat yogurt has been advertised as healthy for a long time, but if you take a closer look at its ingredients, you’ll see that it’s anything but healthy. One of the main components of low-fat yogurt is Recombinant Growth Hormone, an artificial growth hormone produced by Monsanto. RBGH is injected in cows so they can grow bigger and produce more milk. However, some of it seeps into the milk as well and eventually our body. According to experts, RBGH is responsible for a variety of health problems including hormonal imbalance and infertility.
Although advertised as a healthy alternative to white bread, wheat bread contains bromide which has been associated with kidney failure and kidney problems. Furthermore, wheat bread contains neuropathy, inflammation, osteoporosis, IBS, dementia, anemia, fatigue and has even been related to schizophrenia.
Diet sodas are just about the worst thing you can drink. They are full of sugar, artificial sweeteners and chemicals that can destroy your body from the inside. Experts say that a diet soda may contain 10 teaspoons of sugar and up to 55 mg. of caffeine and artificial sweeteners, which is way too much. Diet sodas are also acidic in nature and will disrupt your normal pH balance. They have been linked with obesity and diabetes, and may cause sugar cravings as well.
If you want to keep yourself safe from serious diseases, we suggest avoiding these 3 foods. Stay physically active and try to eat a healthy diet, and you will definitely start the new year on the right foot.
